Hopper - Trout Deed Transfer - ca. 1847 Franklin County, Kentucky, USA Deed Book 2, page 353 This indenture made this twenty ninth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty seven between Simon T. Hopper of the County of Franklin and Commonwealth of Kentucky on the one part and David Trout of the County of Franklin and Commonwealth aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth: That the said Simon T. Hopper for and in consideration of the sum of fifty dollars current money of Kentucky to him in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted, bargained and sold and by these presents, doth grant, bargain, sell and confirm unto the said David Trout his heirs and assigns all that tract or parcel of land situated being in the County of Franklin on the waters of the Long Branch, which is one part our of three. The lot containing twenty seven acres, three rods and 5 poles, the lot drawn by Samuel Hopper, No one. Beginning at two sugar trees and ash stands near a draw South East corner of the survey thence with the south line of the survery 87 1/2 W 62.5 poles to a planted stone near a large oak in John Baxter line corner to Lot No 2 thence with east line of Lot No 2 N2 1/2 W 90-5 poles to a planted stone in north line of survey thence with north line of survey 89 20 E 36 poles to two __? woods oak and dogwood NE corner of survey thence with east line of survey 18 1/2 E 92 3 poles with beginning together with all and singular the premises thereto belonging or in any way appertaining. To have and to hold the land hereby conveyed with the appurtenances unto the said David Trout and his heirs and assigns forever and the said Simon T. Hopper for himself his heirs, Executors and Administrators to aforesaid tract of land and premises unto the said David Trout his heirs and assigns against the claim of claims of all and any person or persons whatsoever do and will forever warrant and defend by these presents. In testimony whereof the said Simon T. Hopper have hereunto set his hand and seal the day and date first above written Simon T. Hopper Witness: W. Franklin State of Kentucky I, Alexander H. Rennick, Clerk of the County Court of Franklin, do certify that the within deed from Simon T. Hopper to David Trout was produced to me in my office on the first February 1847. And, was acknowledged by Simon T.
